This category is designed for newcomers to the world of bodybuilding.

Athletes in this division should showcase solid muscle development with clear definition, all while maintaining a balanced and aesthetic look—especially that classic V-taper shape. Competitors will wear board shorts that sit above the knee, and judging will take place during a group posing round.

*Bumping and/or shoving during comparisons are not allowed.

Judging Criteria

Each Competitor will be judged in these categories:

Symmetry & Proportional Balance

This division is not symmetrical from top to bottom
Upper body development has more mass than the lower body
Symmetry and balance will match from side to side

Muscular Development
A significant level of muscle development that is well defined with visible separation:

Well rounded, hard deltoids
Defined abdominals/obliques
Developed, rounded chest
Well developed, wide back with depth
Visible V-taper
Visible leg development

Conditioning

Visible separation between all adjacent muscles

Muscular separation
Muscular detail
Muscular hardness

Stage Presence & Posing

Practiced and polished stage routine
Confidence
Overall aesthetic appeal:

Trunks color and fit compliments competitor

Presentations

Mandatory Poses

After each competitor completes their individual posing routine, Judges will call competitors to line up and move around center stage, and perform these Mandatory poses:

Front Physique Pose- One hand on hip, and lats flared forward
Rear lat spread

Up to and including 175 cm in height

B
Over 175 cm in height

Check-Ins

Your weight & height will be measured at check-ins
Have photo ID ready at the time of check-in

Posing Trunks- Any color, any style, above the knee to reveal quads
Barefoot
Number- side of competitors choosing

Tanning
All competitors must be tanned to compete

Backstage
1 Backstage pass included for coaches
Competitors, Staff, Coaches, & Videographers are ONLY permitted backstage and in the competitor area
Competitors do not have to stay backstage the entire time of the show

Overall Competition

Competitors that win FIRST place will stay for the Overall round to compete for the Overall Title.
